You will climb gradually and continuously, through a forest of varied tree species. It is so beautiful that you will barely notice the perpetual positive gradient!
Difficulty: moderate Distance: 5Km Time : 1h30
Access: free parking for five vehicles, opposite the starting point: Květoslava Mašity
Všenory, Czechia
Follow the yellow trail markers past the pond and the children’s play park and up into the forest. Keep following this yellow trail. Predominant birch will give way to pine and oak as you make your way up. When you leave the wide forest path, taking a narrow trail on the left, look out for rocky mounds (little hills) on your right. Here, you will leave the yellow trail and follow a very narrow, dirt track to the left which will climb more steeply into the forest.

When you get to the top of the steep, dirt track climb, cross the intersecting path and continue upwards. You will arrive at a semi-obstructed view point of the valley below, with some fenced gardens directly below your path. Go left and continue on the path and you will join up briefly with red trail markers. Where the red trail markers turn sharp right, you must leave them and go straight on, on another unmarked path. You will be walking on a path which is visibly elevated in comparison to the adjacent paths. Your path will pass the highest point on the ridge (which is always marked by a square stone bearing a carved cross. You are on Červená hlína at the modest elevation of 467m. Go straight on. When the main path veers left, continue straight on to pass under the electricity lines, then follow the steep, rocky path downwards towards the left.
When you arrive at the bottom where a wide surfaced path intersects your trail, walk a couple of metres to the left and you will find a forest path on your right, which will twist and turn and lead you back down to your starting point.
